Product Details:


HS-7038 series high gloss polyester gelcoat is specially formulated for achieving a high gloss, anti-cracking finish on various original mold surfaces. This air-drying polyester gelcoat can be customized in different colors to suit your needs. It is ideal for a wide range of applications, especially on surfaces like fan blades, yachts, auto parts, and sanitary wares that demand a high-quality finish.

Curing System in GT Test

Hardener AKZO M-50: 2%



Application Guide:



  1. Before spraying, ensure the original mold surface is dry, clean, and oil-free.

  2. Use a dry and pressure-stable air source.

  3. Stir well before use.

  4. Recommended dosage of ketone peroxide is 1.0-3.0%.

  5. Recommended ambient temperature is 15-35 °C.



Operation Procedure:


Note: Spray with paint spray can, maintain air source pressure at 20psi, with an air flow of at least 0.6 cubic meters per minute.



  1. Prepare for spraying as per application guide requirements.

  2. Apply a thin layer of easy polishing primer on the mold surface, wait for evaporation, then apply subsequent layers to desired thickness.

  3. Dry sand with 220-320 mesh sandpaper, followed by 600-1200 mesh water sandpaper, then polish.



Storage:



  1. Avoid exposure to heat sources, store in a dry place below 25ºC.

  2. Keep sealed to prevent moisture pick-up and monomer loss.

  3. Transportation should comply with safety regulations due to containing hazardous and inflammable styrene monomer.
