Product Name:Epoxy Vinyl Ester Resin HS-4430
1. Brief Introduction:HS-4430 is a premium bisphenol A epoxy vinyl ester resin specifically crafted for producing a diverse range of FRP materials. Ideal for anti-corrosive linings, FRP tanks, electrical insulating materials, and FRP molds, this resin excels in hand lay-up, pultrusion, and filament winding processes. With outstanding mechanical strength, superb toughness, and exceptional heat and corrosion resistance, HS-4430 stands as one of the finest resins designed for the marine industry.
2. Technical Data Sheet for Liquid Resin:
Curing system in GT test: Accelerator 0.6% Co/Naph: 2%; Hardener AKZO LPT: 2%;
3. Physical properties of casting (for reference only):
Note:
1) The casting is prepared according to GB/T8237-2005 standards. Curing System: Accelerator KC: 1.0%;
Hardener AKZO LPT: 1.0%;
2) Post curing: RT×24hrs + 80ºC×24hrs;
4 . Instruction and Attention:1) To minimize bubble formation and extend gel time, use low-activity curing agents such as AKZO's Butanox LPT. For overcoat applications, like the outermost layer of pipelines and tanks, adding paraffin ensures optimal curing.
Recommended paraffin addition is 300ppm with a melting point of 52~57ºC. For best results, the resin should have a short gel time (approximately 30 minutes).
2) In the same applications, the resin should maintain its short gel time to maximize paraffin efficacy.
3)In order to reduce bubble formation and achieve a broader gel time scale, employ low-activity curing agents such as Butanox LPT from AKZO. For overcoat applications, including the outermost layers of pipelines and tanks, paraffin addition is crucial.Recommended addition of paraffin is 300ppm (melting point 52~57ºC). To leverage paraffin effectively, the resin should exhibit a short gel time (around 30 minutes).
5. Storage:
1) Avoid exposure to heat sources, including direct sunlight or steam pipes. Store in a dry environment at temperatures below 25ºC.
2) Ensure containers are sealed to prevent moisture absorption and monomer evaporation. Extended storage under non-ideal conditions may impact properties such as viscosity and gel time of the liquid resin.
3) Adhere to the State Council's "Chemistry Dangerous Articles Safety Management Regulations" during transportation. Due to the presence of styrene monomer, the product is hazardous and flammable.
