1. Brief Introduction:
HS-4457 is a standard phenolic epoxy vinyl ester resin, with medium viscosity, high reactivity, is the basic standard brand of Huake phenolic epoxy vinyl ester resin. Compared with the generic HS-4430 bisphenol A epoxy vinyl ester resin, It can maintain higher strength and stiffness at higher temperatures, At the same time, it has a broad spectrum of acid, alkali, salt, organic solvent, acid oxidation media and other corrosion properties, especially in an acidic oxidative environment. And its construction operation is very good, suitable for hand lay up, filament winding, pultrusion and other FRP molding process. It is widely used in acid, alkali, salt, many other chemical media and organic solvents. It is an ideal high-temperature glass fiber reinforced plastic heavy anti corrosive resin.

Note:
1) The casting is made according to GB/T8237-2005, Curing System: Accelerator: HS-926:0.3% ;Hardener: AKZO LPT: 1.5%.
2) Post curing:RT x 24 h +60ºC x 3 h+ 100ºC x 1h.
4.Instruction and attention:
1) The curing agent can be cured using the universal medium activity MEKP and obtain a wide gel time range, but when MEKP is added to HS-4457 resin, bubbles are initially generated. In order to reduce the bubble and achieve a broad gel time scale, curing agent with low activity such as Butanox LPT produced by AKZO is recommended.
2) To ensure resin has good hot and chemical resistance, post curing is necessary. The recommended condition of the post curing process is listed below the table(RT×24hrs+80~100ºC×3~8hrs). Especially for the production will be exposure to the chemical media, post curing with a high temperature is recommended.
3) Transportation should fit the State Council "Chemistry Dangerous Articles Safety Management Regulations". The product should be stored in a cool place below 25ºC, avoid fire, isolate the heat source, sealed and stored to prevent moisture invasion and monomer volatilization. The shelf life of storage below 25ºC is 6 month.
