1. Brief Introduction:HS-4430 is a premium bisphenol A epoxy vinyl ester resin, meticulously engineered for use in various FRP applications. Its unparalleled versatility makes it ideal for anti-corrosive linings, FRP tanks, electrical insulating materials, and FRP molds. This resin excels in hand lay-up, pultrusion, and filament winding processes, offering superior mechanical strength, toughness, and exceptional heat and corrosion resistance. Truly one of the finest resins tailored for the marine industry.
premium resins ever designed for the marine industry.
2. Technical Data Sheet for Liquid Resin:
Curing system in GT test: Accelerator 0.6Co/Naph: 2%; Hardener AKZO LPT: 2%;
3. Physical properties of casting (for reference only):
Note:
1) The casting is prepared according to GB/T8237-2005; Curing System: Accelerator KC: 1.0%;
Hardener AKZO LPT: 1.0%;
2) Post curing: Room Temperature × 24 hrs + 80ºC × 24 hrs;
4 . Instruction and Attention:1) To minimize bubbles and achieve an extended gel time, use low-activity curing agents like Butanox LPT from AKZO. When applying as an overcoat layer (such as the outermost layer of pipelines and tanks), paraffin must be added to ensure optimal curing.
2) The recommended paraffin addition is 300 ppm (melting point 52~57ºC). To maximize the paraffin's effectiveness, the resin should have a short gel time (approximately 30 minutes).
2) The recommended addition is 300 ppm (melting point 52~57ºC). At the same time, in order to employ the paraffin to the best advantage, the resin should have a short gel time (about 30 minutes).
3)In order to reduce bubbles and achieve a broad gel time scale, a curing agent with low activity such as Butanox LPT produced by AKZO should be used. When applied as an overcoat layer (such as the outermost layer of pipelines and tanks), paraffin must be added to ensure the desired curing degree. The recommended addition is 300 ppm (melting point 52~57ºC). Simultaneously, to leverage paraffin's full benefits, the resin should have a brief gel time (about 30 minutes).
5. Storage:
1) Avoid exposure to heat sources like direct sunlight or steam pipes. Store in a dry place at temperatures below 25ºC.
2) Keep sealed to prevent moisture absorption and monomer loss. Extended storage outside recommended conditions may affect liquid resin properties such as viscosity and gel time.
3) Transport should comply with the State Council's 'Safety Management Regulations for Hazardous Chemicals'. Due to the presence of styrene monomer, it is hazardous and flammable.
