Principal Properties & Application:HS-906 is a gel retardant designed for room-temperature curing systems of unsaturated polyester resins. It is used in situations where the gel time of the resin is too fast and needs to be extended. Adding a small amount can achieve the desired effect. Key features include:
- Suitable for room-temperature curing systems; not suitable for medium- to high-temperature curing systems.
- Improves the storage stability of the resin.
- Minimal impact on the color of unsaturated polyester resin.
- Effectively extends the resin's gel time without affecting its complete curing when used in appropriate amounts.Recommended Dosage (Effectiveness):
- Resin quantity: 1 kg
- HS-906 quantity: 0.1 g (0.01% of the resin weight)
- Extended gel time: approximately 1 minute
Note: The above dosage and effectiveness are reference data based on the same quantities of accelerators and curing agents. Users should adjust the dosage according to actual operating conditions and requirements. Ensure to confirm the specific dosage and practical effectiveness before use.
Add HS-906 to the resin before adding the curing agent, and stir thoroughly before adding the curing agent.
Maximum dosage: 0.6% (based on the resin weight).
Precautions:
- The product should be stored in a cool place below 25°C, away from fire, and isolated from heat sources (such as direct sunlight or steam). Keep the container sealed to prevent moisture ingress and monomer evaporation. Shelf life is 3 months when stored below 25°C.
